Innovation Platform Foundation joins the European Digital Education Hub

We are delighted to announce that Aneta Będkowska, President of the Management Board of the Innovation Platform Foundation, has been selected as a Member of the European Digital Education Hub.

The Hub is a unique collaborative community that connects digital education stakeholders across Europe and beyond. Launched in 2022 by the European Commission, its mission is to address fragmentation in digital education policy, research, and implementation while supporting cooperation and innovation across the European education ecosystem.

As a central component of the EU Digital Education Action Plan, the Hub provides opportunities for experts and practitioners to contribute to the advancement of digital education and digital transformation throughout Europe. Through collaborative projects and expert working groups, it supports the development of innovative solutions that strengthen education systems and prepare citizens for the digital future.

The Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027), adopted by the European Commission in September 2020, is a strategic framework supporting the sustainable and effective digital transformation of education and training systems across Europe. It promotes inclusive, high-quality, and accessible digital education and focuses on:

• Enhancing digital skills and competencies, including digital literacy, advanced digital skills, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity;
• Supporting teacher training and the development of digital pedagogies;
• Building a high-performing digital education ecosystem through strong infrastructure and connectivity;
• Ensuring access to secure, user-friendly digital tools and platforms;
• Reducing the digital divide and promoting inclusion, particularly for disadvantaged groups and persons with disabilities;
• Strengthening cross-border cooperation among EU Member States through the exchange of knowledge, research, and best practices.

The Action Plan also contributes to the objectives of the European Skills Agenda, the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan, and the 2030 Digital Compass: The European Way for the Digital Decade.

Its implementation is supported by key EU funding programmes, including Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and the Digital Europe Programme.

We are proud to contribute to initiatives that help shape the future of education, digital skills, and inclusive digital transformation across Europe.
