BRIdge Alfa incubator – Exofox

Innovation Platform Foundation participated in the application process of BRIdge Alfa entity Exofox cooperating with a variety of investment funds, scientific and academic institutions and experts. Primary investment focus of the BRIdge Alfa managing entity were start-ups and innovation clusters in the areas of:

  • smart networks and smart grid solutions,
  • biocomposites,
  • informatics – big data and parallel processing.

The BRIdge Alfa program aimed at supporting start-ups implementing R&D projects originating mainly from academic institutions in Poland (universities, research institutes, Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) scientific institutes). Financing was to be provided for the PoP (proof of principle) phase, preceding the formation of a spinoff, and supporting the PoC (proof of concept) phase by providing capital into start-ups set up on basis of validated projects.

Financing for Exofox BRIdge Alfa was projected in the 25mln PLN range with a split of 20/80 between investment funds and public funding under auspices of the National Centre for Research and Development.
